Testimonials / Asteriou Nikolaos-Aggelos: Multiple health problems…
Mr. Asteriou Nikolaos-Aggelos (69 years old, Linksfield/Johannesburg/South Africa) presented obstructive sleep apnoea (up to 23 seconds, I timed him many times while he was sleeping). This had the result of his brain not being oxygenated as much as it should.
As a natural consequence, throughout the day, he often presented fatigue and drowsiness, sometimes very dangerous, because of his lack of reflexes during driving, or falling asleep with a lit cigarette. He also used an electronic oxygen supply device when asleep, though not always…
In September 2017, he was hospitalized with heart issues, his arteries were blocked and a stent was placed, while he was also diagnosed with emphysema in his lungs.
He’s an avid smoker (three Camel packs a day), incredibly gluttonous (he ate without stopping, anything at all, at any time at all, and sometimes… whatever he found), overweight, hypertensive, he had a problem with his thyroid gland, hernia, he presented severe depression, and for all these conditions he was following a medical treatment. He was taking strong antidepressants and many other pills besides the ones prescribed, as well as many diet supplements (he had a double cabinet in his kitchen, 60 x 80 x 30 cm, filled with medicine and diet supplements).
He tried twice to follow a simple dietary program, essentially without deprivations, and had this behaviour:
• The first time he tried to follow an eight-day dietary program, he stopped on the fourth day. During those four days he fell to many dietary deviations.
• The second time, he “managed” to follow a seven-day detoxification program with very few deviations, losing 4 kgs, but on the seventh day, he fell again and ate for… 10 days!
Despite the 2 apparently “failed” attempts, Mr. Asteriou wanted, understood, tried (to the degree of his abilities), wants to try again… and tries again…
⇒ During the time of Mr. Asteriou’s 2 attempts, I was living in the same area, and had a completely clear image, and a personal opinion of his behaviour and the progress of his health. The experience I gained was important, because I observed this specific case for a long time (4 months) and very closely -among other cases of patients, on the same time.
